Bryce Canyon amphitheater in Utah in United States

The Bryce Canyon national park in the state of Utah in the United States is known for its particular geological formations: hoodoos. It is a unique geological formation and the red color dominates the canyons and the large amphitheater which we photographed very early the morning whereas the sun showed the first sun rays. Bryce Canyon is located at 650 meters height (2000 feet) with its culminating point with 2778 meters (8330 feet) and the temperatures can be very low starting from 30 degrees farheineit during the fall (0 degree Celsius). The park occupies a surface of 145 km ².
The hoodoos have heights varying from 2 to 45 meters and their thickness is also alternative. Some hoodoos were baptized because of their particular form: Hammer of Thor, Victoria Queen, E.T. The hoodoos are gone back to 40 to 60 million years and are made up of limestones, sands and clays. The red color is due to magnesium, which makes the hoodoos resistant to erosion.
