April 2013. Wildlife photo safari in Costa Rica, Central America.
During the month of April 2013, we hosted for a week, a safari wildlife photography in Costa Rica in Central America. We accompanied wildlife photographers to take pictures of birds. Our photo safari began in San Jose the capital of Costa Rica. Our first destination took us to the Pacific region. From the hotel where we were staying, we have photographed cinnamon hummingbird. We have also photographed the big red macaw. It is in this area that we took the boat to discover the faune living on the banks of the river in a mangrove. This part of the trip was exceptional in terms of photographs. After three nights, we have headed the second part of the trip which was situated in the mountains. We were near the mountain "Cerro de la Muerte" where we spent two nights. We photographed altitude birds. The most spectacular is undoubtedly the resplendent quetzal. Our last stop took us to the Caribbean region. Hundreds of birds live in this region. We are committed to photograph the hummingbirds using multiple flashes. Some bird species photographed: scarlet macaw, toucans, resplendent quetzal, Callistes tanager, multitudes of hummingbirds, kingfishers, spoonbills, egrets, herons, ibis.
