27 février 2015. Livre "Guide Safari Photo en Charente-Maritime"
Some of our pictures were used to illustrate the book titled "Guide Safari Photo en Charente-Maritime" published by DS Atlantic. For us it is a recognition of the work we have been doing for several years in the department. Here is an excerpt from the press release that presents the book: "Native of Charente-Maritime department in which he made his first steps in professional photography there are more than thirty years, Stéphane Souchon today works as a photographer artisan, producer and editor. For “ Photo Safari en Charente –Maritime”, the author combines the photographers Jacques Blot, Amar and Isabelle Guillen and Kevin Reux (DS Souchon) to realize the wonders that holds the Charente-Maritime territory.
Charente-Maritime is experiencing an eclectic topography, combining a fallow or industrialized nature, fields, woods, marshes and forests, fine sandy beaches, towns and villages on the mainland and on the islands. Agricultural activities are rich and varied and particularly local export through the country and abroad stamp. Its tourism popularized by some of seasonally landscapes few months in the year and its commitment to artistic culture make a reference for many French people.
In this global landscape, some places are known and considered attractive poles. Other places less acclaimed, including local activity is more or less reduced exported hide in the shade of very tasty visual riches known locations. The bias of the book “Guide Safari Photo en Charente-Maritime” is to remind the inexhaustible source of inspirating places of the department and put on the same plane, in light of the most overlooked areas to share their aesthetic with player and contribute to mediate their uniqueness to a wider audience.
To accomplish this goal, the “Guide Safar Photo en Charente-Maritime” had to be a "Beautiful book" and it is. The book, published bilingually, contains 180 large format photographs for more than 200 commented identified municipalities.
