Fishs of the drop off of Marsa Shagra, Red Sea, Egypt.
Marsa Shagra is a small coastal village located 20 kilometers north of Marsa Alam. It was built along a drop off of more than 40 meters deep. The main feature of this drop off is the total absence of soft corals. There are only hard corals. Coral species are varied and numerous. Many coral reef fish find refuge against predators and food. This is certainly one of the richest wall in the region. The other feature is that the dives are done from the beach.
