Landscape photography portfolio in shades of blacks and whites
Landscapes have always held an indescribable fascination for us. We have often been struck speechless by aspects of a landscape that we had not imagined. It is rarely possible to describe what we see or the emotions that we experience. Photography allows us to capture those extraordinary moments when light and color combine to create incredible beauty. Black and white photography enables us to use natural perspectives to show the details of landscapes and enables us to get to the point and convey our message clearly.
Using black and white to highlight the beauty of landscapes
Black and white photography is a suitable photographic technique for many nature scenes. It requires a different way of thinking from color photography. A black and white photograph needs to be planned from the choice of framing to the post-processing on a computer. Photography in black and white involves its own philosophy of photography, and black and white photos can convey certain emotions that cannot be expressed through color photos.
For us, the primary purpose of landscape photography is to capture the atmosphere of a landscape at a certain time. Depending on the season and the time of day, the same landscape may look very different at different times.
Black-and-white photographs immediately emphasize the point of interest. The viewer’s gaze is guided by geometric shapes, lines of flight, perspectives, and the contrast between light and dark. These elements which will enable the viewer to understand the message we want to convey. We could simplify this by saying that a black-and-white photograph goes straight to the point to deliver its essential message. Color photographs allow digressions and may lead the viewer to the message by secondary ways. Black and white is a more direct creative technique.
Experiencing the beauty of landscapes
Have you ever had the opportunity to be on top of a hill and to look down at the cloud-covered valley below? Have you ever felt the wonder of contemplating the Grand Canyon just as the first rays of sunlight reach the horizon? Have you ever seen a landscape during the blue hour? Have you ever been left speechless by awe as the rising sun slowly reveals an underwater landscape in the Red Sea?
We have had the chance to observe these scenes, and many others as well. We have felt emotions which it is impossible to describe. Such magical moments only last a few minutes. The natural beauty of landscapes is always breathtaking, and we delight in the wonders that we see. We chose to use landscape photography to show them to others. It also allows us to show others all the values that come with the beauties we see in nature.
Portraying both distant wonders and treasures hidden close to home
In our landscape photographs, we portray distant landscapes, which are sometimes difficult to access, but we also want to show the treasures hidden right outside your door. When we look at a landscape, we try to act if it were the first time we have ever seen it, even when we actually walk by it every day. We are always looking for hidden aspects of landscapes to show people something that they have never seen before, and to continue to surprise our audiences with the beauty of the landscapes that they see every day.
Our artistic vision
We are fascinated and passionate about the beauties of nature. We love to see the landscapes and observe wild animals whether on land or underwater. We have chosen to become professional photographers to share the emotions we feel when we observe nature whether it be on land or underwater. Our goal is to create art with our photographs. We always try to transform the banal into a contemplative and artistic interpretation.
We are wildlife professional photographers, landscape professional photographers and underwater professional photographers. We also strive to document nature with a focus on conservation and education.
We make art prints from our artistic photographs. These art prints are available on our website. We make exhibitions to show all the beauties and the incredible richness of nature that surrounds us.
We also love to share our love for the beauties of nature with other photographers. To communicate our know-how and to exchange our techniques and our points of view, we organize wildlife photography workshops, underwater photography workshops and landscape photography workshops. We gather together people who have the same passion as us for the beautiful photographs taken in nature.
