November 15, 2017. Wildlife Photo Conference in Châlons-en-Champagne in France

On November 15, 2017, following the invitation of UR04 (Regional Union of Champagne-Ardenne) of the French photography federation, we animated a wildlife photo conference in the city of Châlons-en-Champagne in France. 80 people came to listen to the principles of our photographic method.

We thank Gérard Antoine and Philippe Jeanson for the photos they took during the conference.

The Theme of the Conference: "How to create interesting wildlife photographs"

For this wildlife photography conference, we chose as theme "How to create interesting wildlife photographs". It was for us the occasion to explain the foundations of our photographic method: ACANP.

As professional wildlife photographers, we do not have much time to take photographs in the field. Much of our time is devoted to marketing solicitation, marketing research and administrative management such as invoicing and order tracking for our clients. We have created a method that allows us to optimize our time when shooting in the field.

We have chosen to explain to as many photographers as possible this method to help them create interesting photographs.

We believe that the more the photographic approach is structured with identifiable processes that are simple to set up, the more the photographer can create creating interesting photos.

ACANP: A Proven Method

We have been using the ACANP method for years to animate our wildlife, underwater or landscape photography courses. Our trainees saw a real progression in their artistic approach and a clear improvement in the production of their photographs.

We thought that these conferences dedicated to photography were a natural and normal way to extend the logic we adopted for our nature photography courses.

More than 2 hours to Discover Wildlife Photography

The conference lasted more than two hours. It started at 7:30PM and ended at almost 10:00PM.

We discussed the main principles that we defend to make beautiful wildlife photographs.

The photo level of the participants was very high. We had to answer many very specific questions. It is always a real pleasure to share with the greatest number our techniques and our photo know-how.

We tackled complex themes like the choice of photographic elements and attributes but in an uncomplicated way. We wanted a simple speech, educational, understandable by the assembly.

Share with the Largest Number of Photographers

The conferences dedicated to wildlife photography are for us a way to share with the greatest number of people, our secrets to make beautiful photographs but it is also a way to better be known. The sharing of our knowledge remains for us the real engine of our life even if we are professional photographers.

We believe that it is useless to accumulate knowledge and skills if we do not share them with the greatest number of photographers. That's why we created our first underwater photo courses in 2007.

We continue to learn, and we also follow internships every year to enrich and improve our knowledge of photography. Then we perform a synthesis that we add to our ACANP method. Then we teach it to the trainees who make us the pleasure of coming to join us.

Our passion for the beauties of nature leads us to fiercely defend the land that has been given to us. But it also passes by the passion to exchange and to share with the greatest number of photographers.

This conference in Châlons-en-Champagne was a real success. We think the guests have fully benefited from our theoretical explanations. As always, a conference is always too short. But these two hours were once again a real godsend for us to share our passion for nature.

Amar and Isabelle Guillen. Professional Photographers of nature.

We are fascinated and passionate about the beauties of nature. We love to see the landscapes and observe wild animals whether on land or underwater. We have chosen to become professional photographers to share the emotions we feel when we observe nature whether it be on land or underwater. Our goal is to create art with our photographs. We always try to transform the banal into a contemplative and artistic interpretation.

We are wildlife professional photographers, landscape professional photographers and underwater professional photographers. We also strive to document nature with a focus on conservation and education.

We make art prints from our artistic photographs. These art prints are available on our website. We make exhibitions to show all the beauties and the incredible richness of nature that surrounds us.

We also love to share our love for the beauties of nature with other photographers. To communicate our know-how and to exchange our techniques and our points of view, we organize wildlife photography workshops, underwater photography workshops and landscape photography workshops. We gather together people who have the same passion as us for the beautiful photographs taken in nature.
