Photo Series in Color on the Landscapes of France

We live between the United States and France. When we come to France, it is always to undertake very specific photo projects. We have chosen some main regions such as Charente-Maritime, Provence, Normandy, Brittany. They correspond perfectly to our artistic approach because the lights are often very soft and subdued. In addition, we often find ourselves confronted with our favorite natural element: water.

For our approach to the landscapes of France in color, we chose the theme "lights and colors". France is an extraordinary country for the photography of landscapes because of the diversity and the quality of the regions. Moreover, the distances between the regions are very short compared to those of the United States. In a few hours, it is possible to pass from a region of swamps to a coastal or mountainous region. This is an ideal situation because in a short time it is possible to carry out ambitious photo projects with very specific themes. France is bordered by the Mediterranean, the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea. Even along the coast, it is possible to find completely different coastal landscapes, just a few hours by car.

The morning photographs provide wonderful opportunities to create photos which are very ethereal and dreamlike. These moods suggest gentleness and calm, prompting introspection and reflection. Twilight photographs provide wonderful opportunities to create photos which are more toned and energetic, glowing with flamboyant lights. Nevertheless, all the photos are very simple, devoid of unnecessary details. The atmospheres we show enable us to ignore distractions and focus on the basics.

We started professional photography as underwater photographers. Water has always been a fundamental element in our artistry. This is the reason why we are passionate about wetland birds or wetland landscapes. The regions we have chosen to create our photos are either marshy, or bordering the oceans or seas such as the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, or the North Sea. When we do not have large areas at our disposal, we gladly look for swampy areas because the nature there contains a stunning rugged beauty. We have great experience in the marshes of the Charente-Maritime and the Ain for example. These areas are often difficult to access and unattractive with muddy terrain and mosquitoes. But it is precisely an advantage for us because there are few constructions and human modifications. We can fully enjoy the beauties of nature. For this photo project and in accordance with our artistic vision, we chose to show the hidden treasures of France. We do not try to photograph the known regions with the iconic sites. Instead, we focus on finding extraordinary sites close to where everyone passes without ever looking at them. We've been doing this for years, and that's why we're taking pictures off the beaten track. During the exhibitions we organized, the spectators were often surprised and often confessed that they rediscovered their homeland. For us, this is the most precious of rewards. Our photo project "Lights and colors of landscapes of France" has generated collections of photographs of landscapes.

Amar Guillen.

We are fascinated and passionate about the beauties of nature. We love to see the landscapes and observe wild animals whether on land or underwater. We have chosen to become professional photographers to share the emotions we feel when we observe nature whether it be on land or underwater. Our goal is to create art with our photographs. We always try to transform the banal into a contemplative and artistic interpretation.

We are wildlife professional photographers, landscape professional photographers and underwater professional photographers. We also strive to document nature with a focus on conservation and education.

We make art prints from our artistic photographs. These art prints are available on our website. We make exhibitions to show all the beauties and the incredible richness of nature that surrounds us.

We also love to share our love for the beauties of nature with other photographers. To communicate our know-how and to exchange our techniques and our points of view, we organize wildlife photography workshops, underwater photography workshops and landscape photography workshops. We gather together people who have the same passion as us for the beautiful photographs taken in nature.
