"Red Deer in the Mists in Lights and Colors" – Collection of Fine Art Photographs
For us, red deer are the kings of the forests of Europe. They also represent animal elegance. Each year, we spend weeks on the field in forests or meadows to observe and photograph them at the time of the birth of fawns or at the time of the rut.
During the moment of rut that runs from the end of September to the end of October, the scenes are often dreamlike because the differences in temperature between day and night causes the appearance of fog or beautiful mist that highlight deer and doe.
The mists give a dreamlike appearance to the photographs. For this collection that is in our style "Lights and colors", we have chosen only very clean scenes. The landscapes are bathed in very soft mists and they are reduced to a minimum. This technique of minimalism allows us despite the use of color to highlight the power and the shape of these beautiful animals.
A deer is always aware of its power. When it surprises us while we are hiding in a blind, curiosity always prevails, and we have often had the chance that it approaches a few tens of meters from us. It is often with disdain that he goes back to the forests after realizing that we were photographers.
Some think that we are anthropomorphic exacerbated, but we are convinced to be right. We have been lucky to observe the eyes of wild red deer. It is undeniable that a connection is established between the animal and us. We do not know what he is thinking at this moment, but we know that he knows he is stronger than us and that the forest belongs to him.
The morning mists allow us to highlight the musculature and elegance of the red deer, the king of the forest in Europe.
