Wild birds of Costa Rica, Central America

Musical slidehow created with photographs of wild birds of Costa Rica. Created by Amar and Isabelle Guillen.

Costa Rica is a country located in Central America. Although it is small, all travel trips must be measured in hours rather than kilometers. The variety of scenery and topography of the country is impressive. Travelers can go west from the Atlantic coast to the east coast on the coast of the Caribbean Sea through the high altitudes of the central highlands. All these regions with different climates and landscapes are home to hundreds of different bird species. We photographed birds in the mangroves, in tropical forests or in the mountains. Each species has found a field to adapt itself to conditions that can be very cool. Costa Rica is a very important refuge for migratory birds from North America who seek better temperatures for the winter. This is certainly at this time that the number of species is the most important.
