A full article about the dives in Normandy, France and the wrecks of the D-DAY.

Here is the beginning of the article :

"We will always remember the first dive we did in the open sea once certified. It was on a sandy bottom of Normandy Coast. First when we went down, it was not exactly what we expected when we learned to dive: the water was green; we were surrounded by a lot of plankton that made the visibility pretty poor (just few meters). At this time we had in mind, the wonderful colors of deep blue waters with big walls covered by colorful colonies of corals. But that first dive changed our life forever. When we reach our first historical wreck (the Norfolk), it was like we had opened a new unknown door and now, after more than 300 dives in Normandy, we still have the same passion for the wrecks and underwater history.

Diving the History and the wrecks

June 6, 1944 is a date which will mark the history of the world for ever. Indeed, it marks the beginning of the end of the domination of 3rd German Reich on Europe: it is the unloading of the troops allied on the coasts of Normandy. Today, in addition to the terrestrial museums which punctuate the discovery of the area, it is possible to dive on the metal and rusted vestiges wrecks which allowed the success of this operation which remains unique in the history of humanity..."
