June 2nd, 2014. Wildlife photo project about birds living on wetlands of Charente-Maritime, France
Wildlife photography project on wetland birds of the Charente -Maritime in France. Once again, we headed to the wetlands of the coast of Charente -Maritime in France to photograph migratory birds nesting in the area. For this first week, we chose the wetlands of Moëze as a small colony of bluethroat comes to nest. The area is quite favorable. We also take pictures of western yellow wagtail, common reed buntings and european goldfinch. We have chosen to photograph from a blind. We do not want to disturb the birds because some couples have already started feeding the chicks. It is impossible to approach the birds as they nest on the ground. It is out of question to disturb them. We need to post us on the edge of the swamps and wait for the birds come to us. Sometimes it is very long to wait but what fun when a male bluethroat sings less than 10 meters from the cameral. We decided to spend 9 days in this project. We decided to make a maximum of shots showing environmental portraits.
