Big animals of Poitou-Charentes, western France
The Poitou-Charentes region of western France offers a very wide range and variety of species of big animals: red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, deer and badgers. Indeed, the area is very wooded. All these woods and forests are all shelters for these animals that are hunted. We photographed these animals in their natural environments. Over time, these large mammals have become very suspicious and fearful to people. We use the technics of approach and blinds to make our photographs. We see that there is always a good reason to hunt or collect a big animal. Either it is harmful because it destroys the vineyards or gardens. Either he destroyed the young trees in the forests during the slab period. Fortunately reserves start to be created to preserve them. For us photographers, these animals are still as beautiful and extraordinary.
