Taking pictures of the big animals of the forests of Charente Maritime, France. September/October 2012.
During the months of September and the beginning of October 2012, we photographed the big animalss of the forests of the department of the Charente Maritime in France. During these few weeks, we chose to photograph wild boars, deers, and roe deer. This is a very difficult work because we need to find the ways the animals use, mount the hides, make pictures. Taking the shots needs a lot of patience and knowledge. We waited several days before making our first photographs.
To achieve our shots, we use the technique of the hide. The animals of these forests are very suspicious. If we move, we are immediately identified and animals flee. To be invisible we hide ourselves under a big piece of cloth that we call "wood ghost". This is the only technique that allows us to approach the animals to make the frames we want.
