AMAR GUILLEN · FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHER

Galleries & Institutions

Artistic Collaborations

Nature as an artistic language. Photography as an invitation to feel and reflect.

A Personal Interpretation of Nature

I am Amar Guillen, a fine art photographer working between France and the United States. For more than twenty years, I have developed a personal artistic vision inspired by the natural world, exploring landscapes, wildlife, and abstract forms through photography.

My artistic practice is expressed through carefully developed bodies of work, conceived to be exhibited, contemplated, and collected. Each series explores a particular relationship between nature, perception, and human emotion.

I am currently seeking to establish lasting relationships with contemporary art galleries, fine art photography galleries, and cultural institutions whose artistic vision resonates with my own.

J'ai conservé les trois paragraphes. L'expression « bodies of work » est particulièrement adaptée au monde des galeries internationales : elle souligne l'existence d'une recherche artistique structurée, au-delà d'une simple collection de photographies.

An Artistic Vision Shaped by Emotion and Contemplation

Nature is the starting point of my artistic practice, but it is never the final destination.

Beyond depicting a landscape, a natural form, or a reflection, I seek to express what these encounters awaken within me: silence, fragility, solitude, wonder, and the passing of time.

Over the years, my photographic language has evolved toward increasingly refined compositions, sometimes approaching abstraction, where light, color, texture, and form become essential means of expression.

Image

I approach each photograph as an interpretation of the natural world rather than a literal description of what lies before me.

Through my bodies of work, I invite viewers to look beyond immediate recognition and discover their own personal connection with the artwork.

Distinctive Bodies of Work Created for Exhibition

My artist collections are developed around a clearly defined creative intention. Each brings together a coherent selection of photographs whose visual and emotional relationships offer possibilities for thoughtful exhibition narratives.

Reflets de lumière à la surface d'un étang
Mirrors of Incompleteness

An exploration of reflections, fragmented forms, and the ways we perceive a reality that never fully reveals itself. Through twelve photographs, this series questions the boundaries between what we see, what we imagine, and what we bring to the act of looking.

Formes dans les dunes de sable
Forms of Silence

Through twelve black-and-white photographs of sand dunes, this series explores simplicity, solitude, and our relationship with time. Lines, textures, and contrasts form a contemplative visual language in which absence and presence quietly coexist.

Impressions de l'océan
Impressions of the Ocean

A series of eleven photographs exploring the movement, colors, and shifting rhythms of the ocean. Horizons dissolve, details fade, and flowing lines become an expressive language through which I explore the sea's changing presence, its rhythms, and the memories it evokes.

Each collection can be presented as an individual exhibition or contribute to a broader curatorial exploration, depending on the vision and context of the project.

Artworks Created to Be Exhibited and Collected

The physical presentation of my photographs is an integral part of my artistic practice.

My artworks are available in limited editions of no more than thirty prints per photograph, across all sizes combined. Each limited-edition print is signed, individually numbered, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Different presentation options are available, including Contemporary and Museum finishes. Each is designed to preserve the visual integrity of the photograph while giving the artwork a distinctive presence in exhibition and collection spaces.

I pay particular attention to the consistency of print sizes, the quality of materials, and the visual balance of a series when presented together.
br> Production specifications and presentation options can be discussed according to the artistic and practical requirements of each gallery or institutional project.

An Artistic Journey Between France and the United States

Exposition de 4 oeuvres de la collection Miroirs de l'âme dans une galerie moderne

I have been practicing photography since 1987 and have pursued it professionally since founding Guillen Photo LLC in 2003.

Working between France and the United States has shaped my perspective and deepened my connection with landscapes, natural environments, and the many forms of life that inhabit them.

Over the years, I have exhibited my work in a variety of photography exhibitions, particularly in France, including cultural initiatives and projects developed in collaboration with public institutions.

Among these experiences is Le littoral charentais : dessus dessous, an exhibition created in 2013 as part of an institutional commission from the Conseil général de la Charente-Maritime, a regional public authority in France.

I am also the author of several photographic books, including Lumières et Couleurs de la côte de la Charente-Maritime and Reflets de la Haute-Saintonge.

In November 2026, four of my artworks will be presented at PHOTO-ART Paris, held at Galerie 24B in Paris.

Building Collaborations Around a Shared Artistic Vision

I am interested in developing meaningful, long-term professional relationships with galleries and institutions whose artistic programs connect with my approach to photography.

These collaborations may take different forms, including gallery representation, solo and group exhibitions, curatorial projects, artistic commissions, and presentations within cultural spaces.

I value relationships built on mutual trust, respect for each partner's artistic identity, and a shared commitment to introducing artworks to new audiences.

Every project deserves a thoughtful, individual approach, allowing us to develop an appropriate selection of works and an exhibition presentation that responds to the space, its program, and its visitors.

Art Galleries

Artist representation, solo and group exhibitions, and the presentation of my collections to art enthusiasts and collectors.

Cultural Institutions

Exhibitions, curatorial initiatives, artistic commissions, and cultural projects exploring nature through photography.

Discover My Work and Explore a Collaboration

I provide galleries, curators, and cultural institutions with professional portfolios presenting my artistic approach, selected bodies of work, and detailed information about the artworks.

I would welcome the opportunity to learn more about your exhibition program, discuss a potential project, or explore the possibilities of working together.
