The Sailing Stones in Race Track in Death Valley, California

It is in a dry lake in Death Valley National Park, on the site of Racetrack that we can see these moving stone tracks. Many theories tried to explain this unique phenomenon in the world but nobody has ever seen the stones movings and explain what happens. The weight of the stones can vary few hundreds of grams to a few tens of kilograms. It is a unique and captivating spectacle.

A silky shark (Carcharhinus falciformis) in the Red Sea

We took this photo of a silky shark (scientific name: Carcharhinus falciformis) in the Red Sea during a month of June. As is often the rule when we want to photograph the sharks, we posted during several dives in a place where we knew we could make this meeting. After the third dive, two silky sharks came to us because it is a very curious animal who does not hesitate to come to meet the divers and even to follow them. In the photo series that we made, we chose the largest shark that reached the height of 2.50 meters. The color of the back of the silky shark is often dark gray with beautiful silky reflections, hence its name. The silky shark lives only in tropical waters where the water temperature exceeds 23 degrees Celsius.

Photographing a shark is never easy, because even if it is a curious animal, it is often scared by the bubbles, but it is always necessary to be careful and never underestimate his attitude because attacks are dazzling. For example, we never let our backs unattended, if we dive alone, we manage to have a wall behind us; if we dive together, we are back to back.
