Black and White Wildlife Fine Art Prints: “Animals of Yellowstone in Winter"

The Story of the Collection
For this collection of fine art prints in my theme of shades of blacks and whites, I have chosen to explore tranquility, serenity, power, elegance.
In order to illustrate these concepts, I decided to show some animal species from the Yellowstone in the state of Wyoming in the United States. The winter seemed to me a great season for the showcase because snow covers the vast prairies and mountains of this unique natural area in the world.
It should not be forgotten that the Yellowstone constitutes the largest caldera in the world. And yet, wildlife is present everywhere. It is represented by many species of birds and mammals.
For this collection, I have chosen mammals such as bison, pronghorn, bighorn sheep, elk and coyote.
The snow evokes serenity and virginity. As the area is covered by a thick snowpack that can reach several meters, the snow allows me to create sleek and ethereal scenes which highlight wildlife.
Animals are often photographed alone. Thus, I evoke loneliness but without sadness.
The bison is easy to spot in the snow because its dark mass stands out easily against the white. It symbolizes abundance, power. When the wind blows at 60 kilometers per hour and the temperatures reach -30 degrees Celsius, the bison come together and stop moving. They seem indestructibles. The extreme elements do not seem to have any impact on them. It is for this reason that I like to photograph them for my art prints.
The pronghorn is a wild animal of a very rare elegance. Her naughty and curious look is terribly feminine. Her large eyelashes around large brown eyes accentuate a very intense look that always asks me what I am doing in this inhospitable region where it is very cold.
Elk has always been for me an animal that evokes strength and power as much as elegance. The bison can be described as powerful but its mass and its shape do not show a particular elegance.
All the animals of the Yellowstone despite the difficult winter conditions are peaceful and very calm. Meeting them is always an extraordinary experience because I am always alone when I meet them. Very low temperatures do not encourage humans to frequent Yellowstone in winter. When I find myself in front of a bighorn sheep or in front of a coyote, the emotions are always intense. They are impossible to describe. But I know that I am living a unique, extraordinary moment that few will ever have the chance to experience.
All of these fine art prints from this collection ‘Wildlife wonders of Yellowstone in winter’, represent an extreme and difficult but exceptionally beautiful nature that must absolutely continue to be protected for future generations.
