I took this photo on the Saint John’s reef in the Red Sea, south of Egypt. The seabed is carpeted with a multitude of multicolored corals, each more beautiful than the last. But it is not these deep reefs that fascinate me. I am more interested in the reefs just above the surface. When the waves break, they create rollers and a deafening noise.
If we are not careful, we can be swept away by a wave without being able to escape its embrace. It can take you to places you have never been before. Beware the unwary.
