The Story of the Collection
The Dombes is a huge wetland located in the department of Ain in France. This region is covered byforests and villages, but it is especially known for more than 1000 ponds which welcome nearly 280 species of migratory birds, during the winter and summer seasons.
As photographer artist and creator of artistic photos, I appreciate the sober, ethereal decorations painted in very soft color gradients. This allows me as photographer to create very dreamlike atmospheres. The reed beds and the vegetation of the ponds of the Dombes offer me these environments of delightful quality.
For this collection of art photographs of the Dombes, I have chosen to depict scenes that evoke dreams, sweetness, tranquility and serenity. I have also presented very intimate scenes of adults affectionately taking care of their chicks. These are excellent examples of parental love.
I am also incorporating the elegance of the birds as they move gently in the water or during flight. This grace is present in every single movement, and this inspires me deeply.
The Dombes is certainly one of the most motivating areas to show the avian animal world. It certainly is a source of inspiration where the only limit for my creativity is my own imagination.
