Underwater Fine Art Prints: "Portraits of Clown Fish”

The Story of the Collection
Clown fish are fish represented by 30 different species. Only the species of the Pacific is very well known because it was immortalized by the film “Finding Nemo”. Clown fish live in anemones that are normally fatal to other fish.
Clown fish always live in symbiosis with an anemone. It is often hazardous for other species, but clown fish can tolerate it.
What fascinates me in clown fish is their range of shimmering colors. The variations are numerous ranging from red to yellow to pink.
Clown fish are very lively fish that usually swim above their anemone. When a danger approaches, such as an underwater photographer, they immediately hide in the tentacles of the anemone. Photographing them is not as simple as the photographs show. Because they are always moving, it can be difficult for the camera to focus. Composing and framing a picture with a clown fish requires a lot of patience.
Another complication is highlighting the anemone around the fish. For me, it is as important as the clown fish itself. I usually say that the anemone represents the jewel case and the clown fish represents the jewel.
As professional underwater photographer, clownfish are typical subjects and few of my colleagues really dwell on them as common. Yet these are fascinating creatures that deserve to be highlighted. Having a unique character, clown fish prefer to play “hide and seek” when I take their picture.
Clown fish fit perfectly with my artistic vision because I can freely unleash my imagination to show an artistic and contemplative interpretation of the underwater world.
Clown fish and many underwater species are now threatened by pollution of the seas and oceans that destroy the anemones in which they live. But above all, they are increasingly captured to be sold as ornaments in saltwater aquariums. For me it is a huge mess- imagine if you were forced to move from an almost infinite marine universe to a tiny glass jail!
In this collection, I did not want to show a bestiary or make an exhaustive list of clown fish species. I simply wanted to show their elegance, their energy and their sometimes-naughty look after driving me crazy to create a single picture.
As professional underwater photographer, I attach great importance to the construction of my art photographs.
All these photos are available on Masonite or framed. As a photographic artist, I try to produce different and unique works of art. These fine art clown fish are available for sale in my online art collections or in the art galleries that represent me.
