The Coast of the Charente-Maritime Department, France

The total length of the coastline of the Charente-Maritime department in the west of France is 463 kilometers. The coastline stretches from the Gironde estuary to the Atlantic ocean. For photographers this is a unique landscape incredibly rich. The lights and colors constantly change with the seasons. For a season, tones depend on the places: the tones are more yellow and orange in the lagoons in the estuary area and will be more vivid red in the lagoons along the Atlantic ocean. In these pictures, we tried to show the diversity of landscapes, skies, the violent contrasts of colors and lights. It is very rare to be confronted with such a generous nature, sometimes violent, often inspiring serenity andcalm. But anyway, for those who have the chance to see the show, they will not remain indifferent.
